The following stills are from 2 projects I'd like to enhance for the Animation Portfolio Review course. The first is entitled, "The Adventures of Sheriff Westlok" and the second is a take on the "Matrix". The Westlok short is a 1 minute fully animated 2D cartoon that I'd like to bring to completion. I've already started keying out new scenes and intend on trying to get a chunk of it done on a weekly basis up until the end of the term. I've gotten about 10-15 seconds of it fully animated to date. The second project is a take on the Matrix and was recently completed. Because I was hampered down with a lot of extra job work at the time, completing this assignment became extremely challenging. I did finish it and got an "A" for the assignment but always felt that it could have been tighter, better. So for this term, I'd like to go back into it and blend all of the elements better so that everything convincingly looks as if they fit in the same world properly. I intend to tweak this here and there throughout the semester but because "Westlok" is more involved, more attention will be given to that particular project over this one.
I plan on bringing this project to completion as one of the requirements of the Animation Portfolio Review class I'm currently taking at Westwood College. As you can see, the project is still in production, in this version of the project, I have a combination of some finished rough animation and key animation; stay tuned for updates.
I'd like to work on the blending of this project some more. While working on it during a class called Advanced Digital Effects, I was bogged down with job work and this project. It was a tough juggling act to handle since this project in particular was pretty involved having to have created a combination of 3D, 2D, and working them all with the live action woman. I got an "A" on the assignment but always felt that it could be better. For this current class, I'd like to get back in there and blend the elements better; stay tuned for updates.
